ok there is nothing wrong with the nissan software in the maxidas  your problem can only be 2 things  your dlc 16 pin connector obd2   try it with the chrysler adapter  don't do an auto scan go straight to the module  the other possibility   the data bus line  it could be shorted,open,high voltage  or no power or grounds to this modules  try this let me know
